Works

Yes — the 9" Dual-Zone Splash works as a full 2-zone crash on the GEWA G9: bow + edge.

Bow Edge

Wiring: 1× TRS → Crash or AUX input (1/4" TRS jack)

Full dual-zone cymbal support with bow and edge. Touchscreen interface.

Cable routing

  1. Connect to a CRASH input or an AUX input using a standard 1/4" TRS cable.
  2. All trigger inputs are individual 1/4" TRS jacks — rear panel: AUX 4, AUX 3, AUX 2, AUX 1, RIDE, CRASH 2, CRASH 1, HH CTRL, HI-HAT, TOM 4, TOM 3, TOM 2, TOM 1, SNARE, KICK, plus a FOOT SW jack. The G9 has four AUX inputs (the G3/G5 have two).

Module settings

  1. Tap the [Advanced] button and open Trigger Settings mode.
  2. In the Input Channels list, select the Crash/Aux input the cymbal is on; tap the Bow or Edge component in the Trigger Selection panel.
  3. In the Trigger Settings panel, adjust Gain, Threshold, High Level, Scan Time, Retrigger Mask and X-Talk.
  4. In the Advanced Settings function set, set the Bow component's Trigger Type to Dual and the Edge component to Switch.

Tips

  1. Dual-zone bow and edge triggering is fully supported.
  2. Choke detection is available.
  3. The G9 touchscreen provides graphical trigger configuration.
