Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 18" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride when used with the GEWA G9.

Yes — the 18" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride works as a full 3-zone ride on the GEWA G9: bow + bell + edge.

Bell Bow Edge

Wiring: 1× TRS → Ride input + 1× TRS → Aux 1 input (auto-reserved as the bell channel)

The G9 supports 3-zone ride via the 3Way trigger type — with the Ride input set to 3Way, the G9 automatically configures Aux 1 as the bell channel.

Connect the cymbal's Ride 1 output (bow/edge) to the Ride input.
Connect the cymbal's Ride 2 output (bow/bell) to the Aux 1 input — the G9 reserves it as the bell channel.

Tap the [Advanced] button, open Trigger Settings mode, and select the Ride input in Module 1.
Tap the Bow component in the Trigger Selection panel, open the Advanced Settings function set, and set Trigger Type to 3Way.
Set the Edge component to Switch — the Bell is configured as a switch automatically and the next channel (Aux 1) is reserved for the bell.
Set the Bell Threshold to 0 to prevent false bell triggering (GEWA's guidance for a 3Way Roland cymbal).

Valid 3Way pairs are Ride+Aux 1, Aux 1+Aux 2, Aux 2+Aux 3, Aux 3+Aux 4 — the bell always lands on the next channel.
Aux 1 is consumed by the bell while the ride is set to 3Way.
If the edge and bell sounds come out swapped, the two cables are reversed — swap them at the cymbal ends.
