9" Dual-Zone Splash on Simmons Titan 75
Setup — 9" Dual-Zone Splash on Simmons Titan 75
WorksYes — the 9" Dual-Zone Splash works as a full 2-zone crash on the Simmons Titan 75: bow + edge.

Wiring: 1× TRS → EXP1 or EXP2 (1/4" dual-zone input) on the back panel
Dual-zone cymbal triggering runs through the EXP1 and EXP2 inputs on the back panel — the manual describes them as being for additional dual-zone pads, and each sends its own center and rim MIDI note. The two crash branches of the cable harness are single-zone (one MIDI note each), so connect Lemon 2-zone cymbals to EXP1/EXP2 for bow and edge; a third and fourth cymbal can still go to the harness crash branches as bow-only.
Cable routing
- Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from the cymbal pad to EXP1 or EXP2 on the back panel.
Module settings
- Press SETUP repeatedly until you reach EXP1 (or EXP2) and set that port to "Crash" — a Lemon 2-zone cymbal is a piezo bow with a switched edge, and Crash is the setting the manual gives for a switched edge; "Tom" is for a dual-piezo pad.
- Press the SETUP button, then strike the cymbal pad to select it — use the LEDs to the right side of the display to see which pad is selected for editing.
- Press SETUP repeatedly to step through Sens, Retrigger, Threshold, Curve, and X-Talk for that input.
Tips
- Use EXP1 or EXP2 for bow + edge — the crash branches on the cable harness read the bow zone only.
- The Lemon 2-zone cymbal is one TRS cable: tip = bow piezo, ring = edge switch.
9" Dual-Zone Splash also fits 74 other drum modules — see setup
