9" Dual-Zone Splash on 2Box DrumIt 3

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 9" Dual-Zone Splash when used with the 2Box DrumIt 3.

Setup — 9" Dual-Zone Splash on 2Box DrumIt 3

Works

Yes — the 9" Dual-Zone Splash works as a full 2-zone crash on the 2Box DrumIt 3: bow + edge.

Bow Edge

Wiring: 1× TRS → cymbal input (1/4" TRS jack)

Full dual-zone cymbal support with bow and edge.

Cable routing

  1. Connect to a CYMB channel's A jack (CYMB 1–3) using a standard 1/4" TRS cable.
  2. The DrumIt Three has 10 trigger inputs plus 4 control inputs — the HIHAT B and CYMB 1–3 B jacks, which take control cables only, not extra pads.

Module settings

  1. Go to UNIT mode and page to the UNIT-TRIG page (PAGE UP / PAGE DOWN).
  2. Select the CYMB channel by hitting the cymbal pad or with the CHANNEL UP / CHANNEL DOWN buttons.
  3. Set TYPE to the matching cymbal type (e.g. CyPS for a piezo/switch 2-zone cymbal).
  4. Set GAIN so all LED-meter segments light on the hardest hit.
  5. Set THRES for the lightest stroke you want to register (range -48 to -18 dB).
  6. Set XTALK (Off / Low / Med / High) to suppress cross-talk from adjacent pads.
  7. Set CURVE to match your playing dynamics.

Tips

  1. Dual-zone bow and edge triggering is supported.
  2. Choke detection is available.
9" Dual-Zone Splash also fits 73 other drum modules — see setup
