WorksYes — the 15" Dual-Zone China works as a full 2-zone crash on the GEWA G9: bow + edge.

Edge
Wiring: 1× TRS → Crash or AUX input (1/4" TRS jack)
Full dual-zone cymbal support with bow and edge. Touchscreen interface.
Cable routing
- Connect to a CRASH input or an AUX input using a standard 1/4" TRS cable.
- Every trigger input is an individual 1/4" TRS jack. The rear panel's lower jack row reads AUX 4, AUX 3, AUX 2, AUX 1, RIDE, CRASH 2, CRASH 1, HHCTRL, HI-HAT, TOM 4, TOM 3, TOM 2, TOM 1, SNARE, KICK, FOOT SW — HHCTRL is the hi-hat-control jack and FOOT SW takes a footswitch, so neither is a pad input.
Module settings
- Tap the [Advanced] button and open Trigger Settings mode.
- In the Input Channels list, select the Crash/Aux input the cymbal is on; tap the Bow or Edge component in the Trigger Selection panel.
- In the Trigger Settings panel, adjust Gain, Threshold, High Level, Scan Time, Retrigger Mask and X-Talk.
- In the Advanced Settings function set, set the Bow component's Trigger Type to Dual and the Edge component to Switch — p.96: "Choose Switch for the edge component, while the Bow can either be set to Dual or 3Way."
Tips
- Dual-zone bow and edge triggering is fully supported.
- Choke works by grabbing the cymbal edge, which the module reads as a switch.
- The G9 touchscreen provides graphical trigger configuration.
15" Dual-Zone China also fits 74 other drum modules — see setup
