Works

Yes — the 20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride works as a full 3-zone ride on the 2Box DrumIt 3: bow + bell + edge.

Bell Bow Edge

Wiring: 2× TRS: bow/edge → CYMB A jack, bow/bell → the paired CYMB B jack (e.g. CYMB 3A + CYMB 3B)

Full 3-zone ride (bow, bell, edge). The DrumIt Three has no dedicated ride input — assign the ride to any CYMB channel. Each CYMB channel exposes paired A/B jacks built for cymbals that use two stereo cables: the A jack reads bow (tip) + edge (ring) and the B jack reads the bell. The Lemon ride's two cables map straight across.

Cable routing

  1. Pick a free CYMB channel (CYMB 1–3). Connect the ride's Ride 1 output (bow/edge) to that channel's A jack, e.g. CYMB 3A.
  2. Connect the ride's Ride 2 output (bow/bell) to the same channel's B jack, e.g. CYMB 3B.

Module settings

  1. On the UNIT-TRIG page, select the CYMB channel you used (CHANNEL UP/DOWN, or hit the pad) and set TYPE to CyPSB — the Roland-style piezo/switch cymbal type that matches the Lemon ride (CyPSV is for 2box's own velocity-bell cymbals).
  2. Adjust GAIN, THRES, XTALK, and CURVE so bow, edge, and bell strikes register consistently.
  3. Set the bell gain separately: hold MORE and press the DATA knob to switch the GAIN reading to the bell zone (L/M/H).

Tips

  1. All DrumIt Three inputs are balanced — use stereo (TRS) cables on both the A and B jacks.
  2. Choke works by grabbing the ride edge.
  3. If edge strikes play the bell sound (or vice versa), swap the A and B cables.
