20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Alesis Nitro

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride when used with the Alesis Nitro.

Setup — 20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Alesis Nitro

Works

The 20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride is fully supported on your Alesis Nitro.

Bow Edge

Wiring: 1× TRS → Crash 1 connector on the 25-pin cable snake, or 1× TS → Crash 2 jack on the rear panel (mono only)

Crash 1 on the cable snake supports full 2-zone TRS operation. Crash 2 on the rear panel is a ¼″ TS (mono) jack — only the bow zone will function on Crash 2.

Cable routing

  1. For full 2-zone: Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the cymbal to the Crash 1 connector on the 25-pin cable snake.
  2. Alternative (mono only): Connect a ¼″ cable from the cymbal to the Crash 2 jack on the rear panel.

Module settings

  1. Go to Utility → use Page/Select buttons to navigate: SEN (Sensitivity), THR (Threshold), CUR (Curve).
  2. Select the Crash input and adjust parameters.

Tips

  1. Crash 2 on the rear panel is TS (mono) — it will trigger the bow zone only, no edge.
  2. R-S (Rim Sensitivity) controls edge zone response on the Crash 1 snake connector.
  3. CRO (Crosstalk) helps reduce false triggers from nearby pads.
