Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → TOM1, TOM2, TOM3 connectors on the DB-25 cable snake
The Roland TD-1 tom inputs are single-zone — only the head piezo is read. Rim hits on a dual-zone tom pad will not produce a separate sound.
Cable routing
- Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from each tom pad to the TOM1, TOM2, or TOM3 connector on the DB-25 cable snake.
Module settings
- The TD-1 has limited menu settings for trigger configuration.
- Strike each tom to confirm the pad is detected.
Tips
- Head triggers from the center piezo, rim triggers from the rim switch.
- Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
