T550 8" High Tom on Alesis Strike Pro

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 8" High Tom when used with the Alesis Strike Pro.

Yes — the T550 8" High Tom works as a full tom on the Alesis Strike Pro: head + rim.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → TOM 1–TOM 4 inputs (1/4" TRS jacks)

The tom inputs support dual-zone (head + rim) triggering via the center piezo and the rim piezo.

Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from each tom pad to one of the TOM 1–TOM 4 inputs on the rear panel.

Press Edit > Triggers (button 19) to enter Trigger Mode.
Turn Note Chase (button 12) on and strike a tom to select its trigger (or cursor to the Trig field and turn the data dial).
Use the cursors to select a parameter, then the data dial to set Sensitivity (00-99).
Set Threshold (00-99) and, if you get double-triggers, raise Retrigger (00-99).
Pick a Curve (Linear, Log 1-4, Exp 1-4, Spline 1-4) to taste; press Save to keep the trigger settings.

Head triggers from the center piezo, rim from a second piezo on the ring.
Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
