Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 8" High Tom when used with the Roland TD-25.

Yes — the T550 8" High Tom works as a full tom on the Roland TD-25: head + rim.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → TOM1, TOM2, TOM3 connectors on the DB-25 cable snake

Dual-zone tom triggering: head (tip) and rim (ring) respond independently via the single TRS connection per tom input.

Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from each tom pad to the TOM1, TOM2, or TOM3 connector on the DB-25 cable snake.
Additional tom inputs may be available as direct jacks on the rear panel.

In the KIT screen, press [F3] (MENU), then [F3] (SETUP) to open the SETUP screen.
Select "Trigger Settings" to open the TRIGGER SETTINGS screen, then strike a tom to select it.
Use the [INSTRUMENT] knob to set the Pad type to the model that matches your tom pad.
Use the [F2]/[F3] buttons to select "Sensitivity" and turn the [INSTRUMENT] knob to adjust it.

Head triggers from the center piezo, rim triggers from the rim switch.
Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
