Head
Rim
Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → TOM1, TOM2, TOM3, or TOM4 jack on the Donner rack (1/4" TRS jacks)
All four tom inputs are dual-zone — head and rim both trigger. The Beat Max supports four toms, one more than most mid-range modules.
Cable routing
- Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from each Lemon tom pad to TOM1, TOM2, TOM3, or TOM4 on the Donner rack.
Module settings
- On the touchscreen: open DRUM KIT → tap the desired Tom column → tap Instrument → EDITOR tab.
- Set Model to D_DP8 (8" pad), D_DP10 (10" pad), or D_DP10L (10" large) to match your pad size and enable dual-zone triggering.
- Adjust Pad Sensitivity, Rim Sensitivity, Threshold, Mask Time, and XTalk per tom.
Tips
- TOM1/TOM2 are mapped as high toms; TOM3/TOM4 as floor toms — assign voices accordingly in INSTRUMENT > VOICE.
- Tom MIDI notes (head / rim): TOM1 = 48/81, TOM2 = 45/77, TOM3 = 43/74, TOM4 = 41/72.
