T550 8" High Tom on Alesis Crimson III

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 8" High Tom when used with the Alesis Crimson III.

Yes — the T550 8" High Tom works as a full tom on the Alesis Crimson III: head + rim.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → Tom1, Tom2, Tom3 connectors on the cable snake

The tom connectors on the cable snake support dual-zone (head + rim) triggering via the center piezo and the rim piezo.

Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from each tom pad to the Tom1, Tom2, or Tom3 connector on the cable snake.

Go to Kit > Menu > Trigger. Select the Tom input.
Adjust Head (Bow) Sensi, Rim (Edge) Sensi, Threshold, and Curve.
Set Head/Rim Adj to balance head and rim response.
Press the F3 (Save) button after editing — otherwise the edited data is lost after powering off.

Head triggers from the center piezo, rim from a second piezo on the ring.
Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
