Wiring: 1× TRS → available cymbal connector on the cable snake
The DM7X crash input is single-zone (bow only) — the MIDI chart maps a single note per crash with no separate edge note. A 2-zone cymbal triggers the bow zone; edge strikes won't sound separately.
Cable routing
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the cymbal to an available cymbal connector on the cable snake.
Module settings
- Hit the cymbal pad, or press its Pad Select button, so the module selects that input.
- Press Utility, then press Page/Select until SEN (Pad sensitivity) appears, and set it with the < and > buttons.
- Press Page/Select until THR (Pad threshold) appears, and set it with the < and > buttons.
- Press Save to keep the settings — otherwise they return to defaults when you power the module off.
Tips
- The crash input reads the bow zone only — edge strikes won't produce a separate sound.
