15" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Alesis Crimson II
Setup — 15" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Alesis Crimson II
Use as 2-zone rideYes — the 15" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride works on the Alesis Crimson II as a 2-zone ride: bow + edge.
Choose your ride zones
Plug: Ride 1
Wiring: 1× TRS: Ride 1 (bow/edge) → RIDE connector on the cable snake
Plug the Lemon ride's Ride 1 cable into the RIDE connector for bow + edge — no cymbal modification.
Cable routing
- Connect the ride's Ride 1 output (bow/edge) to the RIDE connector on the cable snake.
Module settings
- Go to Kit → Menu → Trigger and select the RIDE input.
- Adjust Sensitivity, Threshold, and Curve for the bow zone (tip conductor); Rim Sens controls the second zone — the edge signal on the ring conductor.
- In your kit, assign a ride-bow instrument to the bow zone and a ride-edge or crash instrument to the second zone.
Tips
- This is the out-of-the-box setup — no cymbal modification.
Or set it up as Bow + bell
Plug: Ride 2
Wiring: 1× TRS: Ride 2 (bow/bell, after the rewire) → RIDE connector on the cable snake
After the one-time, reversible jumper move inside the cymbal (~10 min), the Ride 2 cable carries bow + bell.
Rewire guide ›Cable routing
- Rewire the cymbal — move the internal red/black jumper from the Ride 1 input to the Ride 2 input.
- Connect a single 1/4" TRS cable from the cymbal's Ride 2 output to the RIDE connector on the cable snake.
Module settings
- Go to Kit → Menu → Trigger and select the RIDE input.
- Adjust Sensitivity, Threshold, and Curve for the bow zone; Rim Sens controls the second zone — after the rewire the ring conductor carries the bell signal, so Rim Sens is your bell sensitivity.
- In your kit, assign a ride-bow instrument to the bow zone and a ride-bell instrument to the second zone.
