15" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Alesis Strike Pro

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 15" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride when used with the Alesis Strike Pro.

Setup — 15" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Alesis Strike Pro

Works

The 15" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride is fully supported on your Alesis Strike Pro.

Bell Bow Edge

Wiring: 2× TRS → Ride 1 (bow/edge) + Ride 2 (bell)

The Strike Pro has two separate Ride inputs (Ride 1 and Ride 2), enabling full 3-zone ride operation. Connect bow/edge to Ride 1 and bell to Ride 2.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the cymbal's bow/edge output to the Ride 1 input on the rear panel.
  2. Connect a second ¼″ TRS cable from the cymbal's bell output to the Ride 2 input on the rear panel.

Module settings

  1. Press Edit → Triggers (button 19). Strike the ride bow to select Ride 1.
  2. Set Input Type to Switch for Ride 1.
  3. Use Note Chase or cursors to select Ride 2, then set Input Type to Switch.
  4. Adjust Sensitivity and Threshold independently on each input.

Tips

  1. If bell triggering is inconsistent, raise Sensitivity and lower Threshold on the Ride 2 input.
  2. XTalk settings (Rcv/Send 00–07) may help if ride zones interfere with each other.
  3. Curve options include Linear, Log 1–4, Exp 1–4, and Spline 1–4.
