15" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Alesis Strike Pro

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 15" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride when used with the Alesis Strike Pro.

Setup — 15" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Alesis Strike Pro

Works

Yes — the 15" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride works as a full 3-zone ride on the Alesis Strike Pro: bow + bell + edge.

Bell Bow Edge

Wiring: 2× TRS → RIDE 1 (bow/edge) + RIDE 2 (bow/bell)

The Strike Pro has two dedicated ride inputs (RIDE 1 and RIDE 2) and its stock ride uses the same dual-cable design as the Lemon 3-zone ride — both cables plug straight in, no adapter needed.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the cymbal's Ride 1 output (bow/edge) to the RIDE 1 input on the rear panel.
  2. Connect a second ¼″ TRS cable from the cymbal's Ride 2 output (bow/bell) to the RIDE 2 input on the rear panel.

Module settings

  1. Press Edit > Triggers (button 19) and turn Note Chase (button 12) on so each strike selects its own zone.
  2. Confirm Input Type is Switch on both ride inputs — a Lemon ride's edge and bell present switch-type outputs, the class this setting is written for; do not set them to Piezo.
  3. Strike bow, edge, and bell in turn to verify each selects its zone; if edge and bell sounds are swapped, the two cables are reversed — swap them at the module inputs.
  4. Use the cursors + data dial to set Sensitivity (00-99) and Threshold (00-99) independently on each ride input.
  5. If bell triggering is inconsistent, raise its Sensitivity and lower its Threshold; XTalk Rcv/Send (00-07) may help if the ride zones interfere.

Tips

  1. If bell triggering is inconsistent, raise Sensitivity and lower Threshold on the RIDE 2 input.
  2. If bow strikes also sound a second voice through RIDE 2, silence RIDE 2's head zone in Edit → Voice.
  3. XTalk settings (Rcv/Send 00–07) may help if ride zones interfere with each other.
  4. Curve options include Linear, Log 1–4, Exp 1–4, and Spline 1–4.
15" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride also fits 74 other drum modules — see setup
