Use as 2-zone ride

Yes — the 15" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride works on the Donner DED-200X as a 2-zone ride: bow + edge.

Bell Bow Edge

Plug: Ride 1

Wiring: 1× TRS: Ride 1 (bow/edge) → Ride input

Plug the Lemon ride's Ride 1 cable into the Ride input for bow + edge — no cymbal modification. The DED-200X has no ride-bell voice, so bow + edge is the full 2-zone ride it can drive.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a single 1/4" TRS cable from the cymbal's Ride 1 output (bow/edge) to this module's RIDE input.

Module settings

  1. In DRUM KIT mode, press MENU, use the encoder or UP/DOWN to select SENSITIVITY, then press ENTER.
  2. Press UP/DOWN to pick a parameter, tap the ride pad to select it (shown as RD), and turn the encoder to set the value.
  3. Set SEN (drum sensitivity, 01-06) so your normal stroke registers at full volume.
  4. Set THREH. (trigger threshold, 01-32) so light knocks don't trigger the pad.
  5. Raise XTALK (crosstalk threshold, 01-32) if a neighbouring pad false-triggers this one, and RETR. (repeat trigger, 01-32) if you get double triggers.
  6. Set VOL (volume, 00-127) to balance the pad against the rest of the kit.
  7. In your kit, load a ride-bow sample on the bow zone and a ride-edge or crash sample on the second zone.
  8. Press SAVE to store the settings.

Tips

  1. This is the out-of-the-box setup — no cymbal modification.
  2. The DED-200X's note tables list no ride-bell voice, so bow + edge is the full 2-zone ride this module can drive.
