15" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Alesis Crimson II

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 15" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride when used with the Alesis Crimson II.

Setup — 15" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Alesis Crimson II

Works

Yes — the 15" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride works as a full 2-zone crash on the Alesis Crimson II: bow + edge.

Bow Edge

Wiring: 1× TRS → Crash 1 connector on the cable snake, or 1× TRS → Crash 2 jack on the rear panel

Same platform as the Command. Crash 1 is on the cable snake (TRS). Crash 2 is a ¼″ TRS jack on the rear panel. Both support 2-zone operation.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the cymbal to the Crash 1 connector on the cable snake.
  2. Alternative: Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the cymbal to the Crash 2 jack on the rear panel.

Module settings

  1. Go to Kit → Menu → Trigger. Select the Crash input.
  2. Adjust Sensitivity, Threshold, Curve, and Rim Sens.
  3. Press Save to keep the changes — otherwise they are lost when you power off the drum module.

Tips

  1. Xtalk parameter can reduce false triggers from nearby pads.
  2. Retrig Cancel helps prevent double triggering on hard strikes.
15" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride also fits 74 other drum modules — see setup
