Reduced — 1-zone toms

The T950 10"x5" High Tom works on your Yamaha DTX700 with reduced zones.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → TOM1, TOM2, TOM3 inputs (1/4" TRS jacks)

The tom inputs support dual-zone (head + rim) triggering via center piezo and rim switch.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from each tom pad to the TOM1, TOM2, or TOM3 input on the rear panel.

Module settings

  1. TRIGGER button > select Tom > Trigger Setup: adjust Pad Type, Gain, Sensitivity, Threshold, Crosstalk Cancel, Retrigger Cancel.

Tips

  1. Head triggers from the center piezo, rim triggers from the rim switch.
  2. Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
