Yes — the T950 13"x13" Floor Tom works on the Yamaha DTX700 as a 1-zone tom: head only.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → TOM1, TOM2, TOM3 inputs (1/4" TRS jacks)

The tom inputs support dual-zone (head + rim) triggering via center piezo and rim switch.

Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from each tom pad to the TOM1, TOM2, or TOM3 input on the rear panel.

Press the [MENU] button, turn the dial to select Trigger, then press the dial.
Turn the dial to select Pad, then press the dial; strike the tom so its input is selected.
Move the cursor to the PadType row and set the pad type for the connected tom pad.
Set Gain (Input Gain) and Sensitivity for even response across the tom.
Raise MinLevel (Minimum Input Level) to reject false hits, and adjust RejectTime (Reject Time) to stop double triggers.

Head triggers from the center piezo, rim triggers from the rim switch.
Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
