T950 10"x5" High Tom on Alesis Strata Prime

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T950 10"x5" High Tom when used with the Alesis Strata Prime.

The T950 10"x5" High Tom is fully supported on your Alesis Strata Prime.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → Tom 1–Tom 4 trigger inputs (1/4" TRS jacks)

Each Tom trigger slot is dual-zone — Trigger Zone 1 reads Head and Trigger Zone 2 reads Rimshot via the center piezo and rim switch.

Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from each tom pad to a Tom 1, Tom 2, Tom 3, or Tom 4 trigger input on the rear panel.

Open Trigger Edit Mode and strike a tom, or use Hit Select, to select that Tom input.
Pick the matching trigger preset, or set the input up from Trigger Input Tweaks so both Head and Rim respond.
Tune Sensitivity and Threshold to taste; use Zone Balance to set the head-vs-rim balance.

Head triggers from the center piezo, rim from the rim switch — both ride the one TRS cable (tip = head, ring = rim).
If you tune the mesh head very low and rim hits get weak, adjust Zone Balance toward the rim.
If a head hit falsely triggers the rim, raise XTalk Decay on that Tom input.
