Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T950 10"x5" High Tom when used with the Simmons SD2000.

Yes — the T950 10"x5" High Tom works as a full tom on the Simmons SD2000: head + rim.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → TOM1/TOM2/TOM3 leads on the multi-pin pad harness (TOM4 is a discrete side-panel jack)

The tom inputs support dual-zone (head + rim) triggering via center piezo and rim switch.

Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from each tom pad to the TOM1, TOM2, or TOM3 lead on the module's multi-pin pad harness (the harness plugs into the Serial Connection Jack on the bottom of the module).
A fourth tom uses the discrete TOM4 dual-zone 1/4" TRS jack on the module's side panel.

Press [Utility], then the Function soft-key under "Trigger" on the Main Utility screen.
Select the Tom input (Follow Trigger — strike it — or Current Trigger).
Adjust Sensitivity, Threshold, Curve, Retrigger, Crosstalk, Splash Sensitivity.

Head triggers from the center piezo, rim triggers from the rim switch.
Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
