Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → the "T1", "T2" and "T3" plugs on the xD3's multi-trigger cable
The EXS-3's TOM1, TOM2, and TOM3 inputs are single-zone — only the head piezo is read. Rim hits on a dual-zone tom pad will not produce a separate sound.
Cable routing
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from each tom pad to the plug labelled "T1", "T2" or "T3" on the xD3's multi-trigger cable.
Module settings
- Set trigger sensitivity, threshold, and crosstalk for the tom inputs from the ATV EXS-3's own trigger menu — see the ATV EXS-3 manual for the exact button sequence and parameter names.
Tips
- The head triggers from the center piezo; the rim is not read on these inputs.
