T950 10"x5" High Tom on Donner DED-500P

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T950 10"x5" High Tom when used with the Donner DED-500P.

The T950 10"x5" High Tom works on your Donner DED-500P with reduced zones.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → TOM1, TOM2, TOM3 inputs (1/4" TRS jacks)

The DED-500P manual does not confirm dual-zone tom inputs; conservatively treated as single-zone. Only the head zone will trigger; rim hits will not produce a separate sound.

Cable routing

Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from each tom pad to the TOM1, TOM2, or TOM3 input on the rear panel.

Module settings

MENU > SENSITIVITY > select Tom > PS, THRESH, XTALK, RETRIG, VOLUME.

Tips

Only the head (center piezo) triggers — the rim switch on the pad is ignored by this module.
A TS cable also works since only the tip signal is read.
