Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T950 10"x5" High Tom when used with the Simmons SD1500.

Yes — the T950 10"x5" High Tom works as a full tom on the Simmons SD1500: head + rim.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → the "To Tom 1"–"To Tom 3" branches of the multi-pin cable harness (a fourth tom uses the side-panel TOM 4 jack)

The tom inputs support dual-zone (head + rim) triggering via the center piezo and the rim piezo.

Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from each tom pad to the "To Tom 1", "To Tom 2" or "To Tom 3" branch of the multi-pin cable harness.
A fourth tom uses the 1/4" TOM 4 trigger input on the module's side panel.

Press [UTILITY], then [MENU] to open Trigger Setup.
Select the Tom input (strike the pad or use its Pad Select button).
Step with [PAGE -/+] and adjust Sensitive, Thresh, Curve, Retrig-C, X-Talk, Splash-S.

Head triggers from the center piezo, rim from a second piezo on the ring.
Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
