20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Simmons Titan 70

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride when used with the Simmons Titan 70.

Setup — 20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Simmons Titan 70

Works

Yes — the 20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride works as a full 2-zone crash on the Simmons Titan 70: bow + edge.

Bow Edge

Wiring: 1× TRS → EXP1 or EXP2 expansion jack (1/4" TRS) on the rear panel

Dual-zone cymbal triggering confirmed via EXP1/EXP2 expansion jacks on the rear panel. The primary crash channel on the 25-pin cable harness uses a single-zone stock 10" pad — connect Lemon 2-zone cymbals to EXP1 or EXP2 for full bow and edge support.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from the cymbal pad to the EXP1 or EXP2 expansion jack on the rear panel.

Module settings

  1. Press the SETUP button, then strike the cymbal pad to select it (the LED at the right of the display shows which input is selected).
  2. Press SETUP repeatedly to step through Sens, Retrigger, Threshold, Curve, and X-Talk for that input.

Tips

  1. Use EXP1 or EXP2 for dual-zone (bow + edge) operation — not the primary crash channel on the 25-pin harness.
  2. Choke detection may also be available depending on the pad.
20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride also fits 73 other drum modules — see setup
