T550 10" Low Tom on Simmons SD1500

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 10" Low Tom when used with the Simmons SD1500.

Yes — the T550 10" Low Tom works as a full tom on the Simmons SD1500: head + rim.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → TOM1/TOM2/TOM3 leads on the multi-pin pad harness (TOM4 is a discrete side-panel jack)

The tom inputs support dual-zone (head + rim) triggering via center piezo and rim switch.

Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from each tom pad to the TOM1, TOM2, or TOM3 lead on the module's multi-pin pad harness (the harness plugs into the Multi-Pin Connection Jack on the bottom of the module).
A fourth tom uses the discrete TOM4 1/4" TRS jack on the module's side panel.

Press [UTILITY], then [MENU] to open Trigger Setup.
Select the Tom input (strike the pad or use its Pad Select button).
Step with [PAGE -/+] and adjust Sensitive, Thresh, Curve, Retrig-C, X-Talk, Splash-S.

Head triggers from the center piezo, rim triggers from the rim switch.
Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
