Setup — T550 10" Low Tom on Simmons SD1500

Works

The T550 10" Low Tom is fully supported on your Simmons SD1500.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → TOM1, TOM2, TOM3 inputs (1/4" TRS jacks)

The tom inputs support dual-zone (head + rim) triggering via center piezo and rim switch.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from each tom pad to the TOM1, TOM2, or TOM3 input on the rear panel.

Module settings

  1. TRIGGER button > select Tom input > adjust Gain, Threshold, Sensitivity, Crosstalk, Retrigger, Mask Time.

Tips

  1. Head triggers from the center piezo, rim triggers from the rim switch.
  2. Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
