T550 10" Low Tom on Roland TD-25

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 10" Low Tom when used with the Roland TD-25.

Setup — T550 10" Low Tom on Roland TD-25

Works

Yes — the T550 10" Low Tom works as a full tom on the Roland TD-25: head + rim.

Head Rim

Wiring: TOM1, TOM2, TOM3 connectors on the DB-25 cable snake → one per tom pad

Dual-zone tom triggering: head (tip) and rim (ring) are read over the one lead per tom input.

Cable routing

  1. Plug the TOM1, TOM2, or TOM3 connector on the DB-25 cable snake into each tom pad.

Module settings

  1. In the KIT screen, press [F3] (MENU), then [F3] (SETUP) to open the SETUP screen.
  2. Select "Trigger Settings" to open the TRIGGER SETTINGS screen, then strike a tom to select it.
  3. Use the [INSTRUMENT] knob to set the Pad type to the model that matches your tom pad.
  4. Use the [F2]/[F3] buttons to select "Sensitivity" and turn the [INSTRUMENT] knob to adjust it.

Tips

  1. Head triggers from the center piezo, rim from a second piezo mounted under the head.
  2. On an input that reads head and rim, if the wrong zone plays, tune the module's head/rim settings for this pad's size; values set for a different-size pad may not carry over.
T550 10" Low Tom also fits 76 other drum modules — see setup
