13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Roland TD-10

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride when used with the Roland TD-10.

Setup — 13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Roland TD-10

Works

Yes — the 13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride works as a full 2-zone crash on the Roland TD-10: bow + edge.

Bow Edge

Wiring: 1× TRS → CRASH1, CRASH2, or AUX input on the rear panel

Dual-zone crash triggering: bow (tip) and edge (ring) respond independently via the single TRS connection. Choke works by grabbing the cymbal edge. The TD-10 supports Roland CY-series 2-zone cymbals.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the cymbal to the CRASH1, CRASH2, or AUX input on the rear panel.

Module settings

  1. Press [SETUP], then press [F1 (TRIG)], and then press [F1 (BANK)].
  2. Navigate to the CRASH1, CRASH2, or AUX input.
  3. Set the trigger type to match your cymbal size.

Tips

  1. Bow and edge zones respond independently.
  2. Choke works by grabbing the cymbal edge.
13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride also fits 73 other drum modules — see setup
