13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Alesis Strike MultiPad

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride when used with the Alesis Strike MultiPad.

Setup — 13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Alesis Strike MultiPad

Use as 2-zone ride

Yes — the 13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride works on the Alesis Strike MultiPad as a 2-zone ride: bow + edge.

Bell Bow Edge

Plug: Ride 1

Wiring: 1× TRS: Ride 1 (bow/edge) → Trigger In 2/3 or 4/5 set to Head+Rim

Plug the Lemon ride's Ride 1 cable into a dual-zone trigger jack for bow + edge — no cymbal modification. The Strike Multipad's dual-zone jacks are 2-zone (Head+Rim), so the ride drives two of its three zones here.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a single 1/4" TRS cable from the cymbal's Ride 1 output (bow/edge) to Trigger In 2/3 or 4/5.

Module settings

  1. Press Utility, then F3–Triggers, set EXT Trigger to the ride's input (TRIN2–5) and set Type to Head+Rim.
  2. Tune Scan Time and Retrig-C, and set Rim Gain for the second zone.
  3. Set overall Sensitivity and Threshold under Pad → F1–Feel.
  4. Assign a ride-bow sample to the head and a ride-edge or crash sample to the rim.

Tips

  1. This is the out-of-the-box setup — no cymbal modification.
13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride also fits 74 other drum modules — see setup
