13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Pearl Mimic Pro

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride when used with the Pearl Mimic Pro.

Setup — 13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Pearl Mimic Pro

Works

Yes — the 13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride works as a full 3-zone ride on the Pearl Mimic Pro: bow + bell + edge.

Bell Bow Edge

Wiring: 1× TRS → Ride 1 input + 1× TRS → Ride 2 input (dedicated bell jack)

The Mimic Pro has two dedicated ride inputs — the manual instructs connecting the ride bow cable to Ride 1 and the ride bell cable to Ride 2.

Cable routing

  1. Connect the cymbal's Ride 1 output (bow/edge) to the Ride 1 input.
  2. Connect the cymbal's Ride 2 output (bow/bell) to the Ride 2 input.

Module settings

  1. Set the ride input's gain and threshold from the Pearl Mimic Pro's own trigger menu so bow, edge, and bell register cleanly — see the Pearl Mimic Pro manual for the exact menu path and parameter names.
  2. The Mimic Pro reads the bow/edge cable on Ride 1 and the bell cable on its dedicated Ride 2 input; assign a ride voice with independent bow, edge, and bell samples.

Tips

  1. Bow and edge play through Ride 1; the bell has its own dedicated Ride 2 jack.
  2. If the edge and bell sounds come out swapped, the two cables are reversed — swap them at the cymbal ends.
13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride also fits 73 other drum modules — see setup
