Use as 2-zone ride

Yes — the 13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride works on the Donner DED-300 Pro as a 2-zone ride: bow + edge.

Choose your ride zones

Plug: Ride 1

Wiring: Ride plug on the trigger snake → Ride 1 (bow/edge)

Plug the snake's Ride connector into the Lemon ride's Ride 1 output for bow + edge — no cymbal modification. The DED-300 Pro reads three ride zones, but only from its own single-cable ride design: the trigger snake has one Ride connection, so two of the Lemon ride's zones reach the module.

  1. Plug the Ride plug on the trigger snake into the cymbal's Ride 1 output (bow/edge).

Module settings

  1. MENU > SENSITIVITY > select RD > PS (bow), RS (second zone), THR, XTALK, RETRIGER, VOLUME.
  2. If the second zone plays the wrong articulation, open MENU > MIDI NOTE and set it to 59 (Ride Edge), or assign a ride-edge voice to that zone in MENU > PAD SET.

Tips

  1. This is the out-of-the-box setup — no cymbal modification.
  2. Ride MIDI notes on this module: bow = 51, edge = 59, bell = 53.

Plug: Ride 2

Wiring: Ride plug on the trigger snake → Ride 2 (bow/bell, after the rewire)

After the one-time cymbal rewire Ride 2 carries bow + bell into the snake's single Ride connection.

  1. Rewire the cymbal — move the internal red/black jumper from the Ride 1 input to the Ride 2 input.
  2. Plug the Ride plug on the trigger snake into the cymbal's Ride 2 output.

Module settings

  1. MENU > SENSITIVITY > select RD > PS (bow), RS (second zone), THR, XTALK, RETRIGER, VOLUME.
  2. If the second zone plays the wrong articulation, open MENU > MIDI NOTE and set it to 53 (Ride Bell), or assign a bell voice to that zone in MENU > PAD SET.
