Wiring: 1× TRS → CRASH1, CRASH2, or AUX input on the rear panel
Dual-zone crash triggering: bow (tip) and edge (ring) respond independently via the single TRS connection. Choke works by grabbing the cymbal edge. The TD-10 supports Roland CY-series 2-zone cymbals.
Cable routing
- Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the cymbal to the CRASH1, CRASH2, or AUX input on the rear panel.
Module settings
- Press [SETUP], then press [F1 (TRIG)], and then press [F1 (BANK)].
- Navigate to the CRASH1, CRASH2, or AUX input.
- Set the trigger type to PD7 — the TD-10's trigger-type list has no cymbal values at all; PD7 is a dual-trigger setting that reads bow (head) and edge (rim). If your hardest hits don't give a steady volume, try P1, then P2, which the manual recommends for pads by other makers.
Tips
- Bow and edge zones respond independently.
- Choke works by grabbing the cymbal edge.
