Use as 1-zone ride

Yes — the 13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride works on the Yamaha DTX700 as a 1-zone ride: bow only.

Bell Bow Edge

Wiring: 1× TRS from the cymbal's Ride 2 output → RIDE trigger input jack — bow only

Full 3-zone is not supported — the DTX700 takes a cymbal's bow, edge and cup as three trigger input sources on one cable into one jack (Reference Manual p.2), while the Lemon ride splits its three zones across two outputs. Connect the cymbal's Ride 2 output and play it as a bow-only ride.

Cable routing

  1. Connect the cymbal's Ride 2 output (bow + bell) to the RIDE trigger input jack.

Module settings

  1. Press [MENU], turn the dial to select Trigger, then select Pad.
  2. Hit the ride so the RIDE input is selected, then set PadType to the closest cymbal type (e.g. PCY135) — the bow triggers from its piezo regardless of the type chosen.
  3. Adjust Gain, MinLevel/MaxLevel, and RejectTime so bow strikes register cleanly.
  4. Press the [STORE] button to store the setting — if a confirmation message appears, press the dial to proceed.

Tips

  1. The Ride 2 output still carries bow and bell from the cymbal, but this module only registers the bow zone.
  2. Full simultaneous 3-zone operation is not available on this module.
