11" Dual-Zone Splash/Crash on Roland TD-10

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 11" Dual-Zone Splash/Crash when used with the Roland TD-10.

Setup — 11" Dual-Zone Splash/Crash on Roland TD-10

Works

The 11" Dual-Zone Splash/Crash is fully supported on your Roland TD-10.

Bow Edge

Wiring: 1× TRS → CRASH1, CRASH2, or AUX input on the rear panel

Dual-zone crash triggering: bow (tip) and edge (ring) respond independently via the single TRS connection. Choke works by grabbing the cymbal edge. The TD-10 supports Roland CY-series 2-zone cymbals.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the cymbal to the CRASH1, CRASH2, or AUX input on the rear panel.

Module settings

  1. Press [TRIGGER] > [F1] BANK.
  2. Navigate to the CRASH1, CRASH2, or AUX input.
  3. Set the trigger type to match your cymbal size.

Tips

  1. Bow and edge zones respond independently.
  2. Choke works by grabbing the cymbal edge.
