13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Roland TD-50X

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride when used with the Roland TD-50X.

Setup — 13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Roland TD-50X

Works

The 13" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride is fully supported on your Roland TD-50X.

Bell Bow Edge

Wiring: 2× TRS → Input 9 RIDE + Input 10 RIDE BELL on the rear panel

Full 3-zone ride using separate RIDE and RIDE BELL inputs. Same physical layout as TD-50.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the ride cymbal bow/edge output to Input 9 RIDE on the rear panel.
  2. Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the ride cymbal bell output to Input 10 RIDE BELL on the rear panel.

Module settings

  1. Press [TRIGGER] > [F1] BANK.
  2. Navigate to the RIDE input.
  3. Set the trigger type to CY-15R or CY-13R.

Tips

  1. Both cables are required for full 3-zone operation (bell, bow, edge).
  2. If only one cable is connected, the ride will function as 2-zone only.
  3. The DIGITAL TRIGGER IN jacks support the CY-18DR digital ride, but Lemon cymbals use the analog inputs.
