15" Dual-Zone China on Alesis Strike Pro

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 15" Dual-Zone China when used with the Alesis Strike Pro.

Setup — 15" Dual-Zone China on Alesis Strike Pro

Works

Yes — the 15" Dual-Zone China works as a full 2-zone crash on the Alesis Strike Pro: bow + edge.

Bow Edge

Wiring: 1× TRS → Crash 1, Crash 2, or Crash 3 input

All three Crash inputs are individual ¼″ TRS jacks on the rear panel. Set Input Type to Switch for dual-zone cymbals. Choke is supported.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the cymbal to the Crash 1, Crash 2, or Crash 3 input on the rear panel.

Module settings

  1. Press Edit > Triggers (button 19) to enter Trigger Mode.
  2. Turn Note Chase (button 12) on and strike the cymbal to select its trigger.
  3. Set Input Type to Switch (correct for a dual-zone cymbal whose edge uses a switch sensor).
  4. Use the cursors + data dial to set Sensitivity (00-99), Threshold (00-99), and Curve to taste.
  5. If crosstalk occurs, raise XTalk Rcv (00-07) on this cymbal and XTalk Send (00-07) on the interfering pad; raise Retrigger (00-99) if you get double-triggers.

Tips

  1. If crosstalk occurs, tune XTalk Rcv (00–07) on the cymbal and XTalk Send (00–07) on the interfering pad.
  2. Retrigger (00–99) controls the minimum time between successive strikes — raise it if you get double triggers.
15" Dual-Zone China also fits 73 other drum modules — see setup
