Bow Edge

Wiring: 1× TRS → CRASH1 or CRASH2 input on the rear panel

Dual-zone crash triggering: bow (tip) and edge (ring) respond independently via the single TRS connection. Choke works by grabbing the cymbal edge. The TD-20 supports Roland CY-series 2-zone cymbals.

Cable routing

Connect a ¼″ TRS cable from the cymbal to the CRASH1 or CRASH2 input on the rear panel.

Module settings

Press [TRIGGER], then [F1 (BANK)] to open the TRIGGER BANK screen.
Strike the cymbal to select the CRASH1 or CRASH2 input.
Use [+/-] or the [VALUE] dial to set Trig Type to CY14C or CY8.
Press [F2 (BASIC)] and set Sensitivity and Threshold for the cymbal.

Tips

Bow and edge zones respond independently.
Choke works by grabbing the cymbal edge.
