20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Millenium MPS-1000

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride when used with the Millenium MPS-1000.

Setup — 20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Millenium MPS-1000

Works

Yes — the 20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride works as a full 2-zone crash on the Millenium MPS-1000: bow + edge.

Bow Edge

Wiring: Crash plug on the multiple cable (Crash1) → cymbal, or 1× TRS → the CRASH2 jack on the rear panel (1/4")

Two dual-zone crash channels: Crash1 on the multiple cable and Crash2 on its own 1/4" jack, wired with the kit's additional jack cable. The EXT jack can take a third cymbal once its trigger type is set to 'Cymbal'.

Crash setup and troubleshooting guide ›

Cable routing

  1. Plug the multiple cable's labelled crash plug into the Lemon cymbal's 1/4" TRS jack.
  2. For a second crash, connect a 1/4" TRS cable from the cymbal to the CRASH2 trigger jack on the module's rear panel.
  3. For a third cymbal, use the EXT trigger jack with a 1/4" TRS cable.

Module settings

  1. Press [SETUP], select 'ADVANCE' and press [ENTER], then hit the cymbal to select it.
  2. Set 'SENSITIVITY', 'HEADROOM' and 'PEAK DECAY'; select the edge and adjust 'RIM VELOCITY' and 'RIM MODIFIER'.
  3. For a cymbal on EXT, set 'TRIGGER TYPE' to 'Cymbal' — the factory setting is 'Mesh', which expects a double-trigger drum pad.

Tips

  1. Crash MIDI notes (bow / edge): Crash1 = 49/55, Crash2 = 57/52.
20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride also fits 76 other drum modules — see setup
