Setup details by role
Snare pad 2-zone Snare plug on the multiple cable (25-pin D-sub) → snare pad
The MPS-1000 snare channel is dual-zone — head, rim and cross stick are separate triggers. Pads connect through the supplied multiple cable, which ends in a 25-pin D-sub plug on the module and in individually labelled 1/4" plugs at the pad end.
Tom pad 2-zone Tom plugs on the multiple cable (Tom1, Tom2, Tom3) → one per tom pad; a fourth tom → 1× TRS → EXT jack (1/4")
All three tom channels on the multiple cable are dual-zone — head and rim are separate triggers. A fourth tom can use the EXT trigger jack, whose factory trigger type is the double-trigger mesh tom.
Kick pad Works Kick plug on the multiple cable → kick pad
Single-zone kick trigger on the multiple cable.
2-zone crash 2-zone Crash plug on the multiple cable (Crash1) → cymbal, or 1× TRS → the CRASH2 jack on the rear panel (1/4")
Two dual-zone crash channels: Crash1 on the multiple cable and Crash2 on its own 1/4" jack, wired with the kit's additional jack cable. The EXT jack can take a third cymbal once its trigger type is set to 'Cymbal'.
3-zone ride 2-zone Ride plug on the multiple cable → Ride 1 (bow/edge)
Plug the ride plug into the Lemon ride's Ride 1 output for bow + edge — no cymbal modification. The MPS-1000 reads three ride zones, but only from its own single-cable ride design: the multiple cable has one ride connection, so two of the Lemon ride's zones reach the module.
Hi-hat Open/Closed Hi-hat plug → hi-hat pad + hi-hat-control plug → hi-hat controller, both on the multiple cable
The multiple cable carries a separate hi-hat-control plug, so the Lemon controller connects. That input was built for Millenium's own CH-13 hi-hat, whose position sensor sits inside the top pad; the Lemon controller is a separate plate under the pad — the layout Millenium itself switched to for its Roland-compatible CH-13X. Open and closed are expected; half-open and foot splash are not.
