20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Lekato PD708

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the 20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride when used with the Lekato PD708.

Setup — 20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Lekato PD708

Works

Yes — the 20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride works as a full 2-zone crash on the Lekato PD708: bow + edge.

Bow Edge

Wiring: 1× TRS → TRIGGER IN 5/6 or 7/8 — bow + edge

Dual-zone crash triggering on the jacks Lekato designates for cymbals: "5/6 and 7/8 are used for connecting a dual zone cymbal" (User Manual p.7). Bow and edge arrive on the jack's two triggers over one TRS cable and each plays its own sound. The manual says nothing about choke, so none is claimed here.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a TRS cable from the Lemon cymbal to TRIGGER IN 5/6 or 7/8.

Module settings

  1. Open the SYSTEM menu, go to PAD SETUP and hit the cymbal to select its trigger.
  2. On PAGE 1, set SENSITIVITY and THRESHOLD for the bow and the edge.
  3. In the PAD menu, hit the bow and choose a crash sound under Wave, then hit the edge and assign its sound.

Tips

  1. Bow and edge respond independently.
  2. Two cymbal jacks exist, so a crash and the ride together use both.
20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride also fits 76 other drum modules — see setup
