Reduced — bow only

The 11" Dual-Zone Splash/Crash works on your Yamaha DTX700 with reduced zones.

Bow Edge

Wiring: 1× TRS → Crash1 or Crash2 input (1/4" TRS jack)

Full dual-zone cymbal support with choke. The DTX700 supports stereo TRS pad inputs for bow and edge zones.

Cable routing

  1. Connect the cymbal to the Crash1 or Crash2 input using a standard 1/4" TRS cable.
  2. The DTX700 has 12 individual 1/4" TRS jacks: Kick, Snare, Tom1-3, Hi-Hat, Crash1, Crash2, Ride, Ride Bell (PAD 11), HH Controller.

Module settings

  1. TRIGGER button > select pad > Trigger Setup: Pad Type, Gain, Sensitivity, Threshold, Crosstalk Cancel, Retrigger Cancel.
  2. Also: MENU > Trigger for additional settings.

Tips

  1. Choke is fully supported on crash inputs.
  2. Set Pad Type to match a dual-zone cymbal (e.g., 2-zone or 3-zone cymbal type).
