20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Yamaha DTX-PRO
Setup — 20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride on Yamaha DTX-PRO
WorksYes — the 20" Triple-Zone Crash/Ride works as a full 2-zone crash on the Yamaha DTX-PRO: bow + edge.
Bow
Edge
Wiring: 1× TRS → CRASH1 or CRASH2 input (individual rear-panel 1/4" stereo TRS jack)
The DTX-PRO reads 2-zone cymbals (bow + edge) on its CRASH1 / CRASH2 stereo TRS jacks — the manual lists these jacks as supporting single-piezo 3-zone cymbal pads (bow + edge/bell sensor switches), so a Lemon 2-zone crash lands its bow and edge zones. Set the cymbal pad type so both zones register.
Cable routing
- Connect the cymbal to the CRASH1 or CRASH2 input with a standard 1/4" TRS cable.
- The DTX-PRO has individual rear-panel trigger jacks: KICK, SNARE, TOM1-3, HI-HAT, HH CTRL, CRASH1, CRASH2, RIDE.
Module settings
- Press the [MENU] button, select Trigger, then Pad Type.
- Strike the crash so its trigger input (CRASH1 or CRASH2) is selected.
- Set PadType to a 2-zone cymbal type so the bow and edge register separately.
- Adjust the bow gain and sensitivity; use RejectTime (MENU/Trigger/Pad Type/RejectTime) and Crosstalk (MENU/Trigger/Crosstalk) to reject double and false triggers.
Tips
- Set the pad type to a 2-zone cymbal so bow and edge register separately.
