Wiring: 1× TRS → CRASH1 or CRASH2 input (individual rear-panel 1/4" stereo TRS jack)
The DTX-PRO reads 2-zone cymbals (bow + edge) on its CRASH1 / CRASH2 stereo TRS jacks — the manual lists these jacks as supporting single-piezo 3-zone cymbal pads (Owner's Manual p.57), so a Lemon 2-zone crash lands its bow and edge zones. Set the cymbal pad type so both zones register.
Cable routing
- Connect the cymbal to the CRASH1 or CRASH2 input with a standard 1/4" TRS cable.
- The DTX-PRO has ten individual rear-panel trigger input jacks — SNARE, TOM1-3, RIDE, CRASH1, CRASH2, HI-HAT, KICK and one more for additional toms and other pads — plus a separate [CONTROL] jack for the hi-hat controller (Owner's Manual p.13, p.57).
Module settings
- Press the [MENU] button, select Trigger, then Pad Type.
- Strike the crash so its trigger input (CRASH1 or CRASH2) is selected (p.9).
- Set PadType to the CY entry that matches your cymbal — the Reference Manual prints PCY155, PCY135, PCY100, PCY95 and PCY90 (p.37) — so the bow and edge register separately.
- Set Gain (1–127) and Sensitivity (1–13) on the same page so bow and edge strikes register cleanly (p.38).
Tips
- If a neighbouring pad sets the crash off, open MENU/Trigger/Crosstalk, strike the crash so it is the pad shown, then move the cursor to the offending pad and raise its Reject Lvl (p.40).
