T550 10" Low Tom on Roland TD-02

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 10" Low Tom when used with the Roland TD-02.

Setup — T550 10" Low Tom on Roland TD-02

Use as 1-zone tom

Yes — the T550 10" Low Tom works on the Roland TD-02 as a 1-zone tom: head only.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → the tom leads on the dedicated connection cable

The Roland TD-02 tom inputs are single-zone — only the head signal is read. Rim hits on a dual-zone tom pad will not produce a separate sound.

Cable routing

  1. Plug the included dedicated connection cable's tom lead into each Lemon tom. Its other end goes to the module's single TRIGGER INPUT connector — each lead is labeled for its pad, and the manual's instruction is simply to "connect the appropriately labeled cable to each pad".

Module settings

  1. Press the [MENU] button, use the [▲] [▼] buttons to select "PAD", and press the [ENTER] button.
  2. Strike the tom pad to select it (or hold [ENTER] and press the [▲] [▼] buttons).
  3. Use the [▲] [▼] buttons to select "Type" and the [-] [+] buttons to set the tom PAD type to a mesh-pad value from the PAD Type list such as "PDX8".
  4. Select "Sens" and "Threshold" and adjust each with the [-] [+] buttons if needed.
  5. Press the [DRUM KIT] button to return to the DRUM KIT screen.

Tips

  1. Only the head (center piezo) triggers — this module doesn't read the pad's rim piezo.
T550 10" Low Tom also fits 74 other drum modules — see setup
