T550 10" Low Tom on Alesis DM10

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 10" Low Tom when used with the Alesis DM10.

The T550 10" Low Tom is fully supported on your Alesis DM10.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → TOM 1, TOM 2, TOM 3, or TOM 4 input on the rear panel (individual 1/4" TRS jacks)

The DM10 has 12 individual 1/4" TRS jacks on the rear panel — no cable snake. Tom inputs support dual-zone (head + rim) triggering via center piezo and rim switch.

Cable routing

Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from each tom pad to the TOM 1, TOM 2, TOM 3, or TOM 4 input on the rear panel.

Module settings

Go to Ext. Trig Menu. Select the Tom input.
Set Piezo/Switch type to Switch for dual-zone pads.
Adjust Sensitivity and Threshold to taste.

Tips

Head triggers from the center piezo, rim triggers from the rim switch.
Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
