T550 10" Low Tom on Millenium MPS-1000

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 10" Low Tom when used with the Millenium MPS-1000.

Setup — T550 10" Low Tom on Millenium MPS-1000

Works

Yes — the T550 10" Low Tom works as a full tom on the Millenium MPS-1000: head + rim.

Head Rim

Wiring: Tom plugs on the multiple cable (Tom1, Tom2, Tom3) → one per tom pad; a fourth tom → 1× TRS → EXT jack (1/4")

All three tom channels on the multiple cable are dual-zone — head and rim are separate triggers. A fourth tom can use the EXT trigger jack, whose factory trigger type is the double-trigger mesh tom.

Cable routing

  1. Plug the multiple cable's labelled tom plugs into the Lemon tom pads' 1/4" TRS jacks.
  2. For a fourth tom, connect a 1/4" TRS cable from the pad to the EXT trigger jack on the module's rear panel.

Module settings

  1. Press [SETUP], select 'ADVANCE' and press [ENTER], then hit the tom to select it.
  2. Set 'SENSITIVITY', 'HEADROOM', 'SENSETIME' and 'PEAK DECAY' for head and rim; balance the rim with 'RIM VELOCITY' and 'RIM MODIFIER'.
  3. For a tom on EXT, check that 'TRIGGER TYPE' is set to 'Mesh' (the factory setting).

Tips

  1. Tom MIDI notes (head / rim): Tom1 = 48/50, Tom2 = 45/47, Tom3 = 43/58, EXT = 41/39.
  2. On an input that reads head and rim, if the wrong zone plays, tune the module's head/rim settings for this pad's size; values set for a different-size pad may not carry over.
T550 10" Low Tom also fits 76 other drum modules — see setup
