Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 10" Low Tom when used with the Roland TD-11.

Yes — the T550 10" Low Tom works as a full tom on the Roland TD-11: head + rim.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → TOM1, TOM2, TOM3 connectors on the DB-25 cable snake

Dual-zone tom triggering: head (tip) and rim (ring) respond independently via the single TRS connection per tom input.

Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from each tom pad to the TOM1, TOM2, or TOM3 connector on the DB-25 cable snake.
Additional tom inputs may be available as direct jacks on the rear panel.

In the DRUM KIT screen, press [MENU], scroll to the SYSTEM icon, and press [F3] (SYSTEM).
Use the cursor buttons to select "Pad Settings", press [F3] (ENTER), then press [F1] (TYPE).
Strike a tom to select its input, then set "Pad Type" to PD-85 or PD-105 to match your tom.
Press [F2] (BASIC) to fine-tune "Sensitivity" (1-32) and "Threshold" (0-31).

Head triggers from the center piezo, rim triggers from the rim switch.
Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
