T550 10" Low Tom on Roland TD-10

Wiring, module settings, and tips for the T550 10" Low Tom when used with the Roland TD-10.

Yes — the T550 10" Low Tom works as a full tom on the Roland TD-10: head + rim.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → TOM1, TOM2, TOM3 inputs (1/4" TRS jacks)

Dual-zone tom triggering: head (tip) and rim (ring) respond independently via the single TRS connection per tom input.

Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from each tom pad to the TOM1, TOM2, or TOM3 input on the rear panel.

Press [SETUP], then press [F1 (TRIG)], and then press [F1 (BANK)].
Navigate to the TOM1, TOM2, or TOM3 input.
Set the trigger type to PD7 or PD9 (the dual-trigger pad settings) depending on your pad size.

Head triggers from the center piezo, rim from a second piezo on the ring.
Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
