Works

The T550 10" Low Tom is fully supported on your Alesis Surge.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → Tom1, Tom2, Tom3 connectors on the cable snake

The tom connectors on the cable snake support dual-zone (head + rim) triggering via center piezo and rim switch.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from each tom pad to the Tom1, Tom2, or Tom3 connector on the cable snake.

Module settings

  1. Go to Utility > use Page/Select buttons to navigate: SEN (Sensitivity), THR (Threshold), CUR (Curve).
  2. Select the Tom input and adjust parameters.
  3. R-S (Rim Sensitivity) controls rim zone response.

Tips

  1. Head triggers from the center piezo, rim triggers from the rim switch.
  2. Both zones respond independently on the TRS connection (tip = head, ring = rim).
