Setup — T550 10" Low Tom on Donner DED-400

Reduced — 1-zone toms

The T550 10" Low Tom works on your Donner DED-400 with reduced zones.

Head Rim

Wiring: 1× TRS per tom → TOM1, TOM2, TOM3 inputs (1/4" TRS jacks)

The DED-400 tom inputs are single-zone. Only the head zone will trigger; rim hits will not produce a separate sound.

Cable routing

  1. Connect a 1/4" TRS cable from each tom pad to the TOM1, TOM2, or TOM3 input on the rear panel.

Module settings

  1. MENU > SENSITIVITY > select Tom > PS, THRESH, XTALK, RETRIG, VOLUME.

Tips

  1. Only the head (center piezo) triggers — the rim switch on the pad is ignored by this module.
  2. A TS cable also works since only the tip signal is read.
